The Heroes For Dogs Charity Board of Directors is a passionate team of dog lovers, rescue advocates, and industry experts dedicated to saving lives and making a lasting impact. With diverse backgrounds in animal welfare, nonprofit leadership, and community outreach, our board guides the mission and vision of Heroes For Dogs—ensuring that every program, partnership, and initiative helps more dogs find safety, care, and love. Together, we’re changing the world, one rescue at a time.

Terry Williamson - President

Terry is the Executive Director of the Heroes for Dogs Charity and responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization. Terry has been an avid dog rescue advocate and multiple rescue dog owner for 30+ years.

Terry has helped build and coordinate a growing rescue network of charity partners, shelters, fosters, and volunteers working together to save dogs at scale. 

Joe Lang - Vice President

Joe supports the President in guiding the strategic direction and governance of Heroes For Dogs, helping ensure the board operates effectively and stays aligned with the organization’s mission. He provides leadership continuity by stepping in when the President is unavailable and assists with oversight of key initiatives and organizational priorities. Joe also contributes to long‑term planning and strengthens board engagement as the organization grows. 

Rod Arnold - Treasurer

Rod is the Director of Marketing and Technology for Heroes for Dogs and serves as Treasurer. Rod oversees the financial health and integrity of Heroes For Dogs by managing budgets, reviewing financial reports, and ensuring accurate record‑keeping. 

 

Not only does he guide responsible financial decision making, he also provides financial insight to support the organization’s mission and long‑term sustainability.

Kari Hassey - Secretary

Kari maintains accurate and organized records for Heroes For Dogs, ensuring all board activities, decisions, and governance documents are properly documented. She supports clear communication across the board by preparing meeting agendas, recording minutes, and managing official organizational records. Kari also helps ensure compliance with nonprofit requirements and keeps the board aligned and informed as the organization grows.
